The legends of the marathon

First, it was the Athenian infantry running towards the invading Persians. Then came a lone soldier running towards downtown Athens. Later on, it was a water carrier wearing a fustanella, pursued by a host of incredulous athletes. It seems that when in Marathon you must run and this is the story of the legends who came, saw, and run before you.
