Goat Island is a small island in the middle of the Niagara River. There are no permanent residents, but the island hosts numerous popular attractions, including Cave of the Winds and Terrapin Point. Once a pristine forest, the island remains primarily wooded, while numerous foot trails offer access to the Bridal Veil Falls and the Horseshoe Falls. The island was also known as Iris from the rainbows often seen in the vicinity.
