Synagogue (defunct, Lubelska Street) - The first wooden synagogue in Izbica was probably built in the third quarter of the 18th century., even before the establishment of an independent municipality in Izbica. The oldest surviving source references confirming its existence date back to 1819.It was located behind the northern frontage of the market (between the market and the cemetery), near the road connecting Lublin and Zamosc. In 1855. A new brick synagogue was erected in its place. The building burned down in 1879.Thanks to contributions from residents, it was quickly rebuilt. The synagogue was destroyed by the Germans after the Izbica ghetto was liquidated (April 1943). After the war, the ruins of the building were demolished.
